Luxury Organic Sheets

It took years of searching and testing in our RealFeel™ labs to find Moreganic™ Organic sheets, which do not use toxic chemicals.

How can other so-called “organic cotton sheets” feel as soft and smooth as conventional (non-organic) sheets? We determined that mills use harmful substances during production to make them feel like conventional sheets.

Here’s why:

Other “organic sheets” use organic cotton that is thicker, shorter and rougher than conventional (non-organic) cotton fiber. The short (1/3 ^rd shorter than non-organic cotton) fiber produces coarse yarns, which produce rough-feeling sheets. Toxic substances and chemicals are required to soften and smooth these so-called “organic sheets.

There are about 20 different types of chemical finishes used in the production of conventional sheets. Some solve problems with sheet production (examples: stability finishes; whitening finishes; softening finishes; dying and printing finishes; cleaners, bleaches; etc.) Other finishes expand the usefulness of sheets (examples: softening finishes; body building finishes; easy-care and durable press finishes; soil release; anti-static; anti-pilling; colorfastness; anti-microbial, etc.) Some chemicals bond permanently to the cotton fiber and do not wash out. Often these are helpful (colorfast dyes that outlast the life of our sheets) but for sleepers who wish to avoid hazardous chemicals at night they defeat the purpose of chemical-safe sheets. Finally, when softening finishes wash away, other so-called “organic sheets” become rough and scratchy.

The genius of Moreganic™ Organic sheets is a superior construction that doesn’t rely on chemical finishes for softness and smoothness. Instead, superior certified organic fiber -- 25% longer and smoother -- is used in production. Fewer chemical substances are required, safer alternatives can be used (Moreganic™ Organic sheets are cleaned with baking soda) and lower levels of chemicals are used during production.

Softer than conventional (non-organic) sheets with similar threadcounts, the softness and smoothness are permanent. Moreganic™ Organic sheets change least of all organic sheets with constant laundering.

Other so-called “organic sheets” claim the GOTS® -certification. But Moreganic™ Organic sheets feature BOTH industry safety certifications:

ECO SAFE: Moreganic™ Organic sheets are certified organic from seed to shelf(Cert. Nbr. on request) by Global Organized Textile Standard (GOTS®), the highest standard of certification for organic cotton and fibers.Organic cotton regenerates without genetically modified seeds and grows naturally without synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. Sustainable growth conserves water and energy in all stages of production while ensuring safe working conditions.
CHEMICAL SAFE: Moreganic™ Organic sheets are certified free from the presence of 100 toxic chemicals at the final stage of production (Cert. Nbr. on request) by Oeko-Tex®,using the strictest (Level I) human-ecological laboratory residue test.

The organic cotton yarn is woven in a semi-loose 300 threadcount sateen construction for sheets that are medium weight. Moreganic™ Organic sheets feel good on your skin and great on your conscience.

SOFTEST: The softest organic sheets after multiple washings. Other so-called organic sheets use softeners and substances that wash out, becoming rough and scratchy with constant laundering. Moreganic™ Organic sheets use superior yarn for permanent softness and rank as soft as similar threadcount conventional (non-organic) sheets in our RealFeel™ labs.

COOL & CRISP: Because organic cotton fiber is coarser and stiffer than non-organic cotton, Moreganic™ Organic sheets are s lightly crisper than conventional (non-organic) sheets. The added crispness enhances ventilation by reducing the contact points between your sheets and your skin. A light semi-close 300tc weave allows body heat to escape through gaps between the yarn. The result is a sheet that tests in the top 10% for coolness and crispness compared to sateen sheets of similar threadcounts.

DON’T CHANGE: Moreganic™ Organic sheets don’t rely on chemical softeners that wash out so they change least of all organic sheets from constant laundering. The softness, smoothness, crispness are permanent.

HELPFUL TIP:
Because softeners and other substances are not applied during production, Moreganic™ sheets require several laundry cycles to achieve full softness.

Care Guide

Machine wash in warm water on gentle cycle. Use half the normal amount of detergent to eliminate re-soiling. Use only non-chlorine bleach if needed.

Do not wash with towels or apparel that abrade the organic cotton fiber and create uncomfortable pills (tangled fiber clusters).

Fabric softeners are not recommended as the chemicals stick to organic cotton fiber. Moreganic™ Organic sheets can feel sticky and waxy with continual fabric softener use.

Rinse in cold water (twice if your machine has that option) to remove excess detergent.

Tumble dry on low heat and remove from the dryer when slightly damp (yes, damp!). Small wrinkles may be hand-pressed while on your mattress.

Don’t use dryer sheets, which typically contain treatments and fragrances that defeat the purpose of Moreganic™ Organic chemical-safe sheets.

HELPFUL TIP:

WASH TO SOFTEN: Because softeners and other substances are not applied, Moreganic™ Organic sheets require 4-6 laundry cycles to achieve full softness.
