Flannel is unique for the millions of tiny insulating air pockets in the fuzzy surface, which trap your body’s heat. Flannel feels warmer than sateen or (even cooler) percale sheets that are not fuzzy. Flannel sheets
and keep you toasty warm at night.
Weighing a beefy 5 oz. per square yard,
Everwarm™ sheets
pack 10% more cotton into the weave than other flannel sheets, which prevents your body’s heat from escaping between the yarns.
Everwarm™ flannel sheets ranked
warmest of all cotton flannel sheets in our
RealFeel™ labs.
The main drawback of cotton flannel sheets is excessive pilling. Pills are tangled clusters of loose fibers on the fabric surface that are formed by fabric abrasion when you move at night (and especially when flannel sheets are over-dried). Pills are unsightly, uncomfortable and can scratch sensitive skin. All cotton flannel sheets develop pills over time.
Ingenious
Everwarm™ sheets
reduce pilling by bringing together a tightly-packed weave, combed cotton and a rare shearing process for the
softest cotton flannel sheets after constant laundering.
Everwarm™ starts with expensive combed cotton, which has
fewer loose fibers than regular cotton and is spun into extra-fine yarn (20% thinner than other flannel sheets) so the pills are fewer and substantially smaller; they also break off easier and wash away during laundering.
Everwarm™ sheets are brushed on both sides. A rare shearing process trims the flannel surface to a uniform height to further reduce pilling.
Everwarm™ are the only cotton flannel sheets
certified free from the presence of 100 toxic substances at the final stage of production by Oeko-Tex® (Cert.Nbr.on request), using the strictest human-ecological laboratory residue test.
Everwarm™ flannel sheets
contain no harmful chemicals or dyes that can react adversely with your skin and respiratory system.
All flannel sheets’ fuzzy surfaces will thin after constant laundering. (Over-drying reduces their lifespan. If you notice continual lint, your flannel sheets are losing their insulating fuzz.) Thinning is gradual; you’ll not notice until you climb into new flannel sheets. Older
Everwarm™ flannel sheets are still comfortable but you will truly appreciate updating yours after approximately five years of seasonal use.
